Just talked to one of my carpet reps about using their fiber for filter media. this stuff is made from recycled plastic bottles. It's much coarser than the pillow floss. Should not clog near as fast. It may need to be scoured to get residue off? He's sending me a box of it next week. Maybe we could do a group buy on a 10,000lb bail.
