what is the easiest fish to breed?

I want to breed my own fish for my oscar. What would be

the easiest fish to breed in a 10gal? I want to breed my own

because I am tired of going to the pet store & bying feeders.

& also, how would I set up the tank, & the water coditions for that fish?

convicts, mollies, brchardi's i guess

my convicts would have tons of babies and i fed them to my frontosa juvi's, no point of selling to the lfs as convicts are over populated in every store i have been in.

You could raise some livebearers outside in inexpensive containers if you have room.

Mollies would probably be the best, becouse they dont try to eat there babies and in a bare tank you would need that.

my friend has allot of contaner tanks outside &
he has allot of mollies & sordtails.

Well, in my opinion, guppies would be great. They're incredibly easy to breed and to take care of, they're smaller than other livebearers, esp. mollies, and all you have to do is go to the store, buy some feeder guppies, and you'll have a million in no time. (Believe me, I know! You can even HAVE mine, they're in a 10 gallon... )

i would have to say either guppies or convicts. I have some of the latter that i can give you if you wanna drop by.

In all seriousness, yes! The ten gallon I have is stuffed full of java moss, anacharis, and guppies. Although the tank's probably about 5 times overstocked, the anacharis grows really quickly and keeps the nitrates down to a minimum. Plus, the feeder guppies have never seemed incredibly intent on eating the babies, and even so, the fry hang out in the java moss.  :)

I have a 29 gallon tank in my garage that has some feeder guppies in it and some vals you are welcome to come get them. They are still small but there seems to be more in there about every two weeks. There is even a jar of micro pellets out there you can have.
