cichlidfan, i keep 6 2" petricola with some 16 of ek, illangi frys(.5"-1") in a bare tank and had no problem.

Yeah, fishlady was telling me the same thing the other day, she has petricolas in with her colony too, yet, her babies make it.....

Side note....I just fed the chimbas and I saw three maybe four this time..... :)
