What are you feeding them ? I know Mike was feeding them like 4 times a day BBS for a while and replacing 50% of their water every day making sure that all the dirt from the bottom was removed.

Honestly I am grinding up food. I dont really have the time currently to get that up and running. I figured this will give them a better shot than a community tank would

Angels are SO cool to watch grow out. At first they look like any fish, and then about a month or two in their body start getting that elongated body they are known for.

What size tank are the babies in ? Once they pass the first month you are pretty much going to be able to tell how many will make it. Mass death occurs after about two weeks from eggs have been laid and after that only a few will die from then on. Those who die off are the ones who's internals didnt heal up correctly from the yolk sac.. (nature)
Once they accept food, they will flourish and in a few weeks you will see the body start stretching.. this is when you will think they will double in size every week, because their bodies stretches out to the angel form you are used to looking at :)
Its absolutely amazing to watch (at least I think so)

          Congrats !!

Ohh I forgot.. If you keep up the water changes in the adults tanks, in another week or two.. they are going to go at it again... and give you another leaf of eggs....

Its been 9 days since I first spotted the eggs. They laid so many I havent seen that from the previous pair we had. When I moved them to the 55G tank there were I would guess 25-50 and they pretty much have no egg sack left. Most of the huddle up together in the corner. But there is a lot of free swimmers. Its hard to get a count now since it is a bare bottom tank and its so huge.

You will be able to count them easily in a few weeks when they get bigger..
As soon as everyone is free swimming.. you want to daily take a small tube and vacuum out all the "dirt" on the bottom.. The cleaner the bottom is the better chance your new born fish will not curled pelvic fins. This occurs when they at a young age lay down on the bottom with them sitting in the ammonia filled "dirt"

I tried to take pics but none came out good they all look like little white blobs. I did see them eating the food I put in. It was a very cool thing to see.
