Re: Success. Now what? Anyone need fish?

JimH, your situation describes my first two fish tanks.  It was actually one fish tank but as things got crowded I started moving some into another 10n gallon I was just setting up.  I've taken culls to Fish Ranch on 59 near Bellaire and they've taken them for store credit, though you shouldn't expect much for them.

Here lately I haven't had to cull.  Seems like the populations of both tanks sort of balanced out after a while.  I wonder if there's a biological factor that hasn't been studied, y'know, to control fish populations in the wild.

Charlie I think what happened is the same as with our platty tank.you start out with about three fish two have 10 babies each the first time the parents only eat 5 babies until the babies are to big to get eaten.then the fish gow out and the rougly 12 full grown fish can eat the new babies before they reach adulthood.Im not positive but it seems they just balence themselves out.
