Funny you should say that. My son saw the new rack and has decided that he wants me to build him something similar, tho with the finished facing, and use it as an entertainment center. 5 30 gallon tanks with his tv in the top center slot. With the drops covering the light strips, that should present 5 port holes and 1 idiot box. He called me this morning and is already out searching for supplies, hehe.

That sounds pretty sweet. Don't forget to leave room for the PS2, XBOX or whatever the game console du jour is.
I'm surprised that more people don't do that sort of thing with their fish rooms as much time as folks like us spend in them. I'd have to find the link but a while back I saw a guy's website where he got tired of the garage/toolshed look of his fishroom and rebuilt it off of his kitchen with tile floors, wood paneling and a little breakfast table in the middle. It was the kind of place you could sit and have a cup of coffee and play dominos or scrabble, even if you weren't into fish. Very cool.
That brings up an interesting question. Those of you that have full sized fish rooms, do you feel like you're banished there by your respective spouse, SO, domestic partner or family in general? Or is it more of a central room that everyone in the household enjoys?
Mine is deffinately a refuge. At one time we had 24 aquariums in the house, it was deffinately not by my wifes chosing. At one point there was so much noise from the pumps, the water gurgle draining into sumps, and air pumps grinding away that it was almost impossible to hear the tv, and forget about trying to sleep. After about a month of that the wife gave me the ultimatum, and the rest is shall we say history? Unfortunately, by relocating the fish to the garage, my other hobby has been placed on hold until I can build another out building. Oh well, the trains will just have to wait. Unfortunately, model rail and a humid atmosphere just dont mix very well.
Oh, and speaking of game consoles, this is how sick I am. I actually built myself a racing console, not just a little table for my wheel now, but an actual sit in it and race console for Forza on Xbox. Those who have been to my house have seen it, it's just nuts. My wife can't decide if she is a fish wife, or a race widow.

Yeah, with as many different species as I raise, and as frequently as they seem to want to throw offspring at me, it's a never ending battle to find customers for my little ones. Mike over at Sunny's is doing a pretty good job of absorbing alot of my stuff, but there always seems to be something left over, hehe. We have another Swap N Sell coming up on the 29th of this month, stop by, there will be plenty of stuff to chose from, not only mine, but others as well. The last one was a pretty big success, and this one should only be better.

Scarecrow : I haven't got a brain... only straw.
Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.
