  • Blood Parrots laying eggs but won't hatch. Advice/Help.

I have a pair of blood parrots that lays eggs but eggs seems to be eaten/disappears within 3 days. What can I do? I want the eggs to hatch. I have the pair of parrots in separate tank now with NO other fish (not even a pleco). What are the chances? I've read that they are sterile and lay eggs for nothing but also read that there are cases where they do hatch. Don't know which one is M and F.

blood parrots are mostly sterile, the king kong males sometimes arent, but most of them are sterile.

i had the same problem best thing is to just let nature take its corse they most likely will never hatch my pair still lays eggs but no shows i just let them do it for the experience but if you dont clear the eggs out youll never see your parrots mine stay in hiding all th time because they are contantly breeding.. as for babies its like 1 in a million chance they will hatch.
