I used to put a sponge over the intake. It saved a lot.
I liked the aqua clear blocks the best... the ones used within the filters. I would cute a hole and then using a rubber band wrap it tight...it spreads out the suction so it is as concentrated5.5 fw fluval chi - class N top bar snake chested endlers/ red marble bn/ 4 stripe RCS/ pumpkin shrimp

+1. My brichardi enjoy herding their fry over to the intakes of my filters, which depressingly enough, sucks all the babies up. I found a wider intake end and then put a sponge on it. It helped so much!College = fishless for now. Vicarious living!

Eh...lost 3/4 of the fry only about 50 to 60 left some died from natural causes some got stuck to the hob intake and some got eaten by the dad i'm not sure if the mom is eating them or not but for sure the dad. I don't have an empty tank for transfers but if i'll be ready next time if i end up losing the rest of the fry.Forget the dog.
