cichlids are good parents. let them go and watch. Zebras and other cichlids reproduce pretty often, so don't feel like this is your only shot. if they get eaten or dont make it the first time around, you can do a little prep work and have a grow-out tank the next time around.75 planted (Being Renovated)

once the juvies are get old enough, you can get a 10 gallon tank with a sponge filter and drop the babies.
From my understanding of dropping cichlid babies, you basically hold the female upside down and shake the living hell out of her till she spits the babies out. I would DEFINITELY consult a cichlid person before going that route...
Babies will eat crushed flakes, live brine shrimp, or other "baby foods"

I looked at the red zebra on Wednesday and i only manage to get about 3 little zebra fry out of her mouth. My guess she was far more along then i thought
But the good news is my peacock that i just bought not too long ago had about 40 little fry and my johannii had about 30 fry too!!!!
I also just saw my dragon's blood peacock holding and i had just seen the male dancing to her this morning. =) exciting!!!
