I have a young school of 8 Sundadanio axelrodi arriving tomorow.
Any suggestions on how to make them at home or what it takes to breed them ?

5.5? My tap water is around 8.1-8.3 so I'm thinking that I may just leave those alone. Good luck.So many things can be a mystery, when all we're seeking is freedom...

The rainwater I am collecting in Katy is around 6.3 pH. I would say your best effort from there is to lower the pH some more with subtract. I am thinking that your tank needs to have a TON of cover (ie plants that cover the surface) and you will need to run some lights above) to simulate sunlight shining through the canopy. I would most likely prolly paint the back and sides of the tank black to lower the amount of disturbance into the tank and then they should be ready to breed.
