Name that egg!

This is in Kiko's tank and they are scattered all along the front glass and in his little plant orb hanging on the side of the tank.




Stock that could potentially be parents of these eggs.

They look square which makes me think they're from the assassin snails.

They are a single egg encased in some jelly like, looks like a sunny side up egg if that helps.


Do Assassins just scatter eggs everywhere? There's a single plant orb that is mounted halfway up the glass and there's eggs scattered in there too. I thought Assassins laid eggs under the substrate.

Nahhh, I think assassins do scatter eggs like that.

Yes, they scatter eggs all over like that. They'll attach an egg here, another one there, and another one over there. It's kind of like an easter egg hunt finding them.

Agreed on the assassins being the parents. I hardly ever see my assassins' eggs cuz they bury 'em or put 'em in plant roots.

Yup, yup. Didn't you give those assassins from our tank to Kiko? They are breeding machines.

I have 2 in my shrimp tank and some in my tropheus tank a lot of them I did give to Kiko and his brother.
