Let me know if you order , I'm in for a couple OZ's of each.

the key to superworms over mealworms "Superworms have a higher meat to chitin ratio than mealworms." not only does this make them more nutritious in my mind but there is another potential side effect from mealworms being more heavily armored. while i was at the dallas zoo, there were instances of mealworms living through being swallowed whole and then eating their way out of the herptile's stomach. the said herp was not amused by this

That's what I have been reading.

I've fed my old arowana nothing but superworms in the past and never really knew there was also mealworms

i saw some mealworms at city pets last weekend that were blood red... i wonder if he is feeding them canthazanthin (red lobster chitin) or some other natural coloring in advance? that would be a good idea, we often neglect to gut load live food for fish but its standard practice for herps.

back like 20yrs ago when I was raising arowanas I ordered mealworms or superworms and there was a "red" option.

Never cared to ask or look into it though.

Kinda iffy about what is best to feed my fish... need something to vary their diet some so nutrition is of concern.

Right now I am feeding whole market shrimp.
