Well, last night I spent about an hour watching them before I went to bed. It appears that BOTH females are preparing. One is protecting the left side of the tank, the other the right. Up until last night, the one on the right was only rubbing up on one male (the one in the picture). Well, last night she threw a monkey wrench in it. There's another definite male & she rubbed on him for a minute while the other was guarding & cleaning the spot they've chosen. The second the male took off from the spot they've cleaned... the other male swooped in and started cleaning the same spot. After that they had a constant tussle about who was going to clean the spot, all 3 of them.

♫She ain't nuttin but a hoochie mama.. hoodrat, hoodrat, hoochie mama♫

They're in a 27 gallon bowfront, for now. Triflin little heifers. I told hubby they need more room. He says no, but I'm the one who's done the research. I have an empty 29g I wanted to move half of them to. I shall make him cave, it's what I do best. LOL
