  • New Angel Parents

I've never had ambitions to become an angelfish breeder, and still don't, but couldn't help being surprised and a bit proud of these two (though all I've done is feed them for about 6 months, lol) when I realized they'd paired up and spawned. Figured they'd eat the eggs, or forget about them, but to my surprise, they've tried really hard to be good parents, and some of the eggs actually hatched. I seriously doubt that they'll be able to keep up with the fry in this tank, and there's some younger (Spring Auction weakness) angels who've been banished to the back weeds, just waiting for tasty strays. I'll have those out of the way soon, and it'll be interesting to see what the pair can do then. These are 2 of a trio of babies I got at last winter's auction, labeled Philippine Blues or P.B. Platinums...don't remember for sure. Two veils and a normal-fin one. To whoever provided them, I'd like to say, Thanks ! Nice fish ! Bring more next time!"
