I, for one, LOVE Nick's fish.  I'm an equal opportunity fish lover.  We have 'special needs' fish who would have been culled or left to die if they hadn't come home with us.  And if not for them, I wouldn't have the knowledge I have to treat our other fish when they get ill.  Everyone/Everything has a purpose in this house. :)

That's how the strain gets turned into crap.... pawning it off on others and then they breed them.

You release the poor strain into the market and next thing you know you have fish that can barely adapt to new waters and some that can even swim on their own.

I am almost offended by this, but I'm not one who brings any fish to an auction that I would not keep in my tank at home, so I'm not taking it personally.  Yes, I have seen some fish at auctions that should have been culled, but it's not all sellers.  I have seen many more culls in local stores than at auctions.  When I'm looking to add fresh bloodlines I will go to AB and see if one of the sellers I know and trust has what I need.  For some reason it just seems to me I can get a newer strain from a breeder in Kentucky than I can in an area auction.

Now, if it's one of Nick's fish...   :bsjoke:
