I've had mine for a few months now. They are eating dried shrimp, NLS Thera-A pellets, and Seachem canned fly larvae and mealworms well. I use salt for marine aquariums to make their water brackish (about 1/2 measuring cup for 20 gallons). I use a penguin biowheel filter and a Koralia 3 to provide current and filtration. Their tank mates include 2 Columbian sharks (hardhead catfish), sheepshead minnows, Gulf Coast Killies, and baby sheepheads (not the minnoes/killies), as well as some various nerite snails to control algea. I use plastic plants and driftwood as decorations and coral gravel and sea shells as a subtrate too keep the water pH alkaline. Does this help?

Mine is an old fashioned 20 gallon metal frame tank that my parents bought for me back in 1985 from an Antique store in Angelton. It was my 15 year B-day gift that I still have. I have yet to see mine shoot water.PLECOS SUCK!
