  • filter white stuff

hi i have a xp3 canister filter that uses a overflow and the return is a spray bar.question tank has been running 8 weeks on a 55 gallon with seven fish.when i shut off filter for water change there was about 40 pieces of whitish transparent flimsy stuff ranging in size of 1 inch to quarter inch that came out of spray bar.so i sucked it up during water change.but when i filled tank back up and started xp3 canister about another 40 pieces of the same stuff came out so now its floating around.do i need to flush my pipes every so often ?what causes this junk?thank for any responses

You could reverse flush your pipes or just let the fish take it in.... it's nothing harmful.

yeah, its just a film from the inside of your tubes. If it really bothers you...you could just sell the filter to me!
