adult south american stingray=2' diameter.you will need a 4' by 8' tank to house one.jeff rapps has one on his list, but he wont send it to texas.spend your money on the aqualog stingray book and look at the pictures.or www.waterwolves.com

'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

well, there is 1 species of freshwater stingray that can be kept legally in texas, it is also a smaller growing species, they can be kept in minimum of 180g 6'x2'x2' aquariums. they are small brown stingrays, i forget the scientific name.

pet city usually gets them in pretty often, also fishrus gets them in.
i have also seen them at extreme fish and fish ranch II.
but like i said minimum aquarium size is still atleast 6'x2'x2' 180g, with the ideal being a 7'x2'x2' 210g or 8'x2'x2' 240g. length and width are key with these fish, height is much less important.
