        I wonder if that chemical makes freshwater fish into saltwater or saltwater fish into freshwater or both into brackish....

          there's a game that you can download for the Wii called my aquarium (costs about $5 to download). you set up aquariums and you can mix fresh and saltwater. so many of the combinations can actually be seen

            I dunno about this...like D said, estuarine fish can live in varying amounts of saltwater and live just fine. Osmoregulation works so differently in the two types of fish, I wouldn't be surprised to see kidney issues crop up.
