  • Golden Wonder Killie Bully

I have a 3.5in golden wonder killie (really gorgeous) that is terrorizing my tank. he has killed 2 fish so far and shredded his mate to pieces (shes been moved.) he is currently in a bucket with a airrator as a timeout (he's been in the bucket just today). I have 2 options at this point. first is to put him in a different tank, but all the other tanks have cichlids in them. the other option is to re-home him for what i paid for him (5 bucks). he has grown 2 inches from what i bought him for and he is extremely aggressive. my natural inclination was to put him in the south american tank. but if those will eat him alive, then i need to re-home him.

    any opinions?

And to think....in January it was just the 29...)

    which tank is he in?
if hes not in the 29g, he would do well in there,
if he is in there, then you got one psycho killie.

he was, but i moved him to the 10 community, because of less crowding and the fact he was beating the tar out of my rainbow. and he was jacking with a couple angels too. he killed a molly and a swortail and is going after glofish. he attacks anything he's with now. even his mate is being beaten

        holy carp!

thats one mean arse killi, i have never heard of them being anywhere near that aggro.
i would definatly get rid of him and try to replace him with a smaller and hopefully nice when grown male.

Killies are native to everywhere, practically. "Golden Wonders" often give killies a bad name. Usually, killifish are calm, peaceful fishes. Golden wonders are more like cichlids, lol. Not sure where they're from originally, I'm sure one could google that quickly, though.

So, I would think that your guy would do okay with Africans. I'd watch him for a bit, though, just to make sure.

Personally, I think they are more like pike or barracuda.
