Something also to consider. The "outside" diameter of the hose you buy most likely will not fit the eheim fitting properly when you use the ehiem plastic nut to secure. What I always do is use a foot of the ehiem tubing to go on the filter and buy a barb to barb plastic fitting to the new hose. Last thing you want to deal with is a leak.

Trying to tell them boyz! It gets the job done and it's retarded cheap compared to the over priced eheim stuff.

Eheim lists their hose as inner/outer ie 12mm inner hose diameter, 16mm outer hose diameter.

In the US we sell hose with the inner dimensions. 12mm = 1/2 inner with a outer of 5/8 -- so go get a hose that is 1/2IN 5/8OD
