I like it. I think the balance would be better if the stump were moved off-center and back 4 or 5 inches with some sag around the back and a couple low plants in front of it. JMO.

What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.

Believe it or not...the stump is as far back as I can get it. I am hopeing the vals will migrate around it, an I have some narrow leaf chain sword in the front, would rather have something else. I have a small mat of baby tears rooting itself right now, an going to transplant it to the 55 as soon as it gets some better roots. I only have 2.3wpg in the tank, an no co2...so I am a little limited on plants. I want some pygmy chain...I like it better then the micro sword, but haven't found a good source. I do need more plants, but the tank also has to be accessable to get my plecos out...I have a breeding trio of Red Calico Longfin BN plecos in the tank, so I can't get too out of hand with the plants.

I agree about moving it off-center, like Mark said, but otherwise I think it will look really cool when all the plants start taking off and growing in! :)

Edit: I can't exactly tell, but do you have two narrow leaf chain swords on either side of the wood? Is that where you put them? If so, they almost look like they're in an emersed form. You might have to watch as the emersed leaves die off and the submerged form starts up. Just warning you that this might happen, so don't despair! :)

When I was placing the stump in the tank...I tried it in different spots...but it was the hubby that said where he wanted it....so I had to work around the stump.
As far as the narrow leave chain, yes there are two of them on either sides of the stump, I bought a small plant package from Baylees on AB. Got a bunch of wendtti, crypts, vals, sag, an the micro sword. Not bad for $25....I am very happy with the plants, but still need some "small" foreground plants, got a very small(1 x 1 inch) mat of baby tears, I am going to put where the crypt is in the middle/front...I think...well I really have not fully decided on where to put it, but that seems like a nice spot for a baby tear lawn.
