Let me say this. I hope your ceilings are high, and I would invest in a couple of good Koi pond nets.. So when you have problems... you can get to it.
Another thing. Invest in spa hose to clean the tank.
Water circulation. I am thinking you are going to need to setup some MASSIVE filtration system. I am thinking the 162g tank your hubby put together for you.. yeah you are going to NEED to use it as a sump wet/dry. Your hubby will need to build one of those too. If you dont get a wet/dry, yeah I am just going to shake my head for a couple of weeks....
A pair of MAG 36's should do the trick. You will need to buy several overflow boxes so you can get the flow needed. I am thinking in the end you will need to get at least like 6 vortech's for water movement inside the tank...
I am starting to think this is going to be one expensive tank to get..
This might be the biggest tank I will ever lay my eyes on, but if you do it right.. it will make it for prolly the prettiest and largest home owned tank in Texas..
Ohh I forgot.. what kind is lighting are you thinking about using ?

some kind of biotope for sure use it as an opportunity to keep big and small fish that usually cant be kept together in captivity because of close quarters
make sure to take loads of pics of the whole process... beginning to end!

Yeah...that is over 10,000 lbs of water, plus the glass...dang, he needs to build a serious stand! I would put Malawi peacocks, haps & mbuna in it with lots of rocks. You could let scuba classes train for free in exchange for cleaning the tank!215g Malawi Peacocks and Mbuna
180g Tropheus Ikola and Bemba and Clown Loaches
58g Bristlenose breeding and grow out
