I'm interested in starting up a Cichlid tank. Interested in finding some of these fish as they should go well in a planted tank. Anyone have any or know why they would not go well in a planted tank? I have a spare 40 gallon hex and would guess about 6 of these along with a few corys and otos would do well together. I have raised Angels and Jack Dempseys about 45 years ago, but just got back in the hobby a few years ago and into planted tanks, but would like a tank of these. They are quite old fish in the hobby and go back quite a few years. Also known as a Smiling acara. Any suggestions or comments welcome.

most curviceps do fine in planted tanks.....just dont put any fish thats too small or too slow....Ive noticed mine take bites out of the slower ones....very hardy and long lived
