  • nano tank ?'s

alright, i want to do a 10g shell dweller biotope.

i want this to be as natural and true to their natural habitat as possible without going to the lake and bringing the stuff back lol

i need ideas for the following

    substrate

    hardscape ie; rocks ect...
    ps (of course neothalma shells)

    lighting

    filtration

    circulation

    background
ps (i will even consider diy rock backgrounds)

and what sp. of shell dwellers

all advice on this is welcome.

    let the posting begin!

              Sand and shells. Nothing else.
              Scarecrow : I haven't got a brain... only straw.
Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

ok, i that makes it substantially easier!

so, pool filter sand, neothalma shells, which are dang near impossible to find

and what should i do as far as filtration, circultion, and lighting?

also, what sp. besides multies is both beautiful, somewhat hard to comeby, and easy to care for?

                do they need a powerhead?
do they like current in their tanks?

2211 canister or ac 30 hob?

coralife dual bulb t5 or 20" 28watt coralife cf?

                should there any plants?
                if so, what kind/sp.?

do they require a heater or could i go without one?
