  • Has anyone tried this?

My cardinal tetras are not very aggressive when it comes to feeding. They are so small it is sometime difficult to tell whether or not they are eating at all. I worry that they don't get enough to eat. I have been grinding the flakes between my fingers to "dust" the top of the tank thinking there will be more bite size food scattered across the tank for them to find.

Has anyone ever put flakes into a pepper mill (that was never used for pepper before)?

The engineer in me had me thinking this was a great idea. Has anyone ever tried this?

yeah, you might have better luck w/ some sort of granule/small pellet. it's more the size of a peppercorn. flake might clump up and get jammed.

Your cardinals should have no problems. My cardinals dont they will even take bites out of large pieces.
