  • Looking for clown loaches - My LFS has none

Can someone recommend a retailer that has clown loaches in stock? My usual place is out. I need a store near Meyerland / Galleria.

    Thank you.

Hello neighbor. I see we have the same zip code. The places I would call or stop by that are not far are:
    1. Fish Ranch 2
    2. City Pets
    3. Fondren Fish 'N' Pets
    4. Fish Gallery

Just a little further, but not bad at all IMHO are
    5. Houston Aquatics
    6. Houston Aquarium Warehouse
    7. Xtreme Tropical Fish 'N' Pets.

    Hope this helps.
I'm on N. Braeswood and 610. Where are you?

Andy usually has them over on Westheimer and Eldridge....FISHLAND.

Have you considered getting a different kind of loach? Clown loaches grow way too large for the tanks you have listed in your sig line.

Is there any particular reason you're wanting loaches (such as eating snails)? My personal favorite are chain loaches. They're not as easy to find, but they have all the personality of clown loaches, remain a reasonable size (4"-5" max), eat snails like candy, and look really pretty. I found some a while back at HAW.

I am a big fan of clown loaches. They don't do well in planted tanks though.

They in my opinion tend to be slow growers.

I have on that is about 17 years old.
