  • Oddball stocking ideas for my 20g Long???

    i have recently setup a 20g long.

i originally planned to make it a kiku fire tip brichardi breeding tank, but i cant find any wc specimens.

    so thats a nogo.

i have now decided it would make a cool oddball tank.

    i have a riverine scape.
rocks driftwood and fake bushy plants.

the stocklist i have decided on sofar is as follows.

    3x Glass Catfish
    1x Spotted African Climbing Pearch
    1x African Butterfly Fish
    1x Zebra Botia
    1x Skunk Botia

and i would like a few other smaller oddbals that i could keep with these choices.

    lmk your ideas.

    remember, its a 20g long.
not the biggest tank, so i would like smaller oddballs, in the 4-5" max range.

I think the perch will eat the glass catfish.

nah, they only get like 4"tl.
they are the little spotted leaf fish at petssmart, im getting them elsewhere.

but they dont get big, they love to hunt ghost shrimp and guppy fry though:)

seriously, i think the oddball stock will look a lot cooler than brichardi in your setup.

They have BIG expandable mouths and glass cats are long and thin.

you really think a 4" spotted leaf fish can eat a 4" glass catfish?

maybe the leaf fish isnt such a good idea

Yes. If well fed, they will grow and so will their appetite. I have one. He can swallow frozen krill with no problem.
