  • Help me stock my tank

I just set up this 75 i had and i really like the look of it and dont want to ruin it with the wrong fish. it will also be slightly planted with a few plants. I know i want some kind of small catfish and i already have a bristlenose pleco thats going in just wondering what else i can put in that will stand out alot. maybe some sort of small geo. but i want more than 1 or 2 fish.

filtration is a 60g HOB and a cascade 1000 canister filter
lightings is 2 3' dual bulb t5 with 2 actinic and 2 reg bulbs
    and a maxijet 1200 powerhead with pre-filter
    Attached Files

Dude, i dont know what your budget is like, but that totally looks like a Discus tank. I'd go see the guys at HAW and get about 6 or 7 Discus and some really cool tetras. You can also put a few smaller Geo's in with the Discus. I did it with mine and they were fine together. Very nice scape job.

If you added the AC110 to the tank as well I would say you had plenty of filtration for tropheus. I think if you bought 20-22 tropheus they would be fine in that tank. You might lose one or two along the way so you would still have a good number in the tank. 18-20 is a good number for a 75gallon tank. So you will have a little room for error that way. If you do go Trophs...I would open up your rock piles a little bit so that the fish can fit through the cracks between the rocks.

its kind of hard to tell but the rock piles actually have larger caves facing towards the driftwood.......does anyone know where i can pick up 20 or so fry for a good price

If I were doing Tropheus, I would go with the Chimba. i'm not just saying that cuz Newb is my brother, I genuinly like his fish.
