I recently bought a used saltwater tank that has the old sands left it in. I was wondering if it is posible to conserve that sands for fresh water fishes. Thanx

If its argonite or coral sand, it will be ok for hard water fish, like African cichlids or goodieds for example. I would not use the previously mentioned types of sand for soft water fish, like most fish from the Amazon.
If it is silica, pool, or blasting sand, should not pose a problem either way.PLECOS SUCK!
