Its going to be toxins which you need to figure out what they are.
    Its obviously from the filter.

Both of which I rinsed BTW.
The receptionist told me this morning that they will not re-imburse me. I told her that the first thing I was going to do when I got off the phone, in that case, was post on Cichlid forum what their filter did to my fish and what a bunch of clownshoes they are. I will post on various clubs' sites around the country also. With a nice photo of the bag with 60 dead fish in it.
I know it was that filter.
Any idea how I could get the water tested for toxins? Can I have the city do it?
You'll probably have to take the water sample to a full-blown chemical lab for analysis.

Sorry you lost your fish... that really sucks out loud.

I just got home from work and saw that I'd missed a Chilambo. I took her out and blood came from her gills. The two adults that lived seem to be doing ok in the 75 and I haven't seen the 3 fry I put in there. Keep your fingers crossed.
I froze the female on the off chance I find someone who can do a necropsy on her. However, I don't know if it's possible because she's been in the water for so long.

Thanks for your kind words and support, guys it really means alot to me

Well to me it sounds like chlorine poisoning and if it is most LFS have tests for chlorine.

Jenny I am so sorry to hear about this, I cant even imagine how you feel.

I dont think this is chlorine related though. I once forgot to put dechlorinator in during a water change and the fish all went to the bottom rather than gasping at the surface. That was my experience I could be wrong

You can get water testing kits that you send off to a lab from a hardware store, and sometimes Home Depot gives out free ones.

How else can I get the word out? My plan is simply to google big city names and put fish club after it and see what I can get and copy and paste the thread/link I put up on another website.
I was even thinking of making a Facebook page.'
Tracey, that makes me feel alot better. I figure the more I put out there the more google hits it'll have.
If you guys have any other ideas please PM me or post them, I don't care.
                            Thanks again.
