What is the weight of an empty glass tank ?

empty tank weight of an All Glass vs Perfecto ? estimate on weight ....

    75 gallon ? (48 x 18 x 20)
    90 gallon ? (48 x 18 x 24)
    125 gallon ? (72 x 18 x 22)
    150 gallon ? (72 x 18 x 29)
    180 gallon ? (72 x 24 x 24)
    210 gallon ? (72 x 24 x 29 )
    240 gallon ? (96 x 24 x 25)
    265 Gallon (84 x 24 x30)

I understand that there are some diffs. in the tank sizes from each of the two manufactures but a guess

Just considering moving all of my tanks back to my original 15 x 18 fish room. Most of my big tanks are in a small area in another room.
So when I got rid of all of the smaller tanks 65 tanks (20L, 30L, 40L, 40B, 55) ... that area is now open again ......

I am thinking of either getting another 300 acrylic, I just dont know if it will be the used 8ft like my other one, or a new 10ft like my other one.

The 265 is also a option, but it is like, if I am going to build new, might as well go big!!!

Wow a ten footer that would be sweet for petros ..... what are the dimensions on that and did you build it .... ?
                I have a 240 gal (8 X 25 X 24) from Glass Cages and the weight I guess is about 500 pounds empty...

If it was truly empty (all the air removed) it would likely float and not weigh anything
'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

One Man moving a 500 8 foot tank....

I have the same size tank also from Glass Cages.... I used 2 dollys to roll the tank into position.
Then I used cinder blocks , 3/4 inch plywood (8 ft X 30 inches) and a car jack.
Placing 1 cinder block at one end then jacking up the other end and place a cinder block.
Place a cinder block under the jack then jack one end up , placing another cinder block.
go to the other end and place a cinder block ,etc.... Once you get the tank to the height of the tank stand.
you can slide the tank onto the stand.... This is what a person with a bad back does.....
                            Take care
                            Frank
