How do you mean, the perch, bass, etc. are fine? I don't understand what you mean by that.

Yet. But when you seine and come up with only FH's its too late. There are areas in the world this has happened. I'll see if I can find some links in english.

yeah Ive seen them man... in thailand,malaysia,singapore...they do great there because its super humid and hot year round and their only main competitor being snakeheads...fhs or any other central american will naturally out compete any gourami or other common fish native to that part of asia....but here its a different story sunfish and bass are not sweet little fish...plus the fh would find it hard to adapt to the freezing point here...if anything is causing problems here in houston area waters its got to be Tilapias!!

plecos make it cause they burrow deep and they are also deep in the ship channel....FHs are the topic at hand....the closest thing here to that is a texas cichlid and their impact is minimal...hell Ive been fishing in bayous and the texas cichlid population has been falling...FHs are not super machines they act just like our texas cichlids..

Plecos, texas cichlids, pacus, oscars, tinfoil barbs, jack dempseys, etc...all have been collected in the bayous here. The hybrid vigor created when trying to create a better, stronger fish, like flowerhorn, gives them a better chance to thrive than those non-native central and south american fish which have already been collected here locally. I'm just telling you that in my opinion TPWD will shut it down. There are already a lot of tropical and neotropical fish banned in Texas that are legal in other states, because of our warmer water...it's only a matter of time.

Already happening, and this leads to irresponsible practices that are much worse than those of most hobbyists.

It actually would have been more comical if it wasn't already happening...there's a black market for illegal fish. They smuggle drugs with the fish as well, by the way.
