It is all a matter of personal preference. I'd do 2 . . . perhaps a little less.

I was told years ago that 1lb of substrate per gallon was the rule of thumb.

You should be fine with two bags. (100 lbs.)

use this calculator and you can see how much you need for your desired depth.

            25g - Reef
            3.5g - Surge Tank
10g - Ichthyophthirius multifilis breeding colony

I used 1 in my 6 foot 120 and it's enough to put a thin layer, but in retrospect I wish I would have used 2 just so I could bury things in there a little better. 3 would be really good if you have a lot of bottom dwellers and such.

Does anyone have a pic of a extra bag laying around?

I went by leslies and they had Zeosand or Southern Filter Media ? I bought the SFM incase it was the right one but wanted to ask here before I open up the bags.

I like my 1" sand bed in my tanks, it always gets tossed around with the current never really have to stir with that much flow....

I put about one and a half bags in my 125g discus tank. It made 1/2 to 1", so it depends on how deep you want the substrate to be.
