      I'm still confused. For a second I think he's serious...then I think he's joking.

I seem to remember a thread on HFB about what different kind of "table" food you could feed your fish.  Brown mentioned one and there was lettuce, frozen peas and cucumbers.

Re: Fish food is waaaaaay to expensive

A nyways, I've been spending too much money on fish food, I hate to feed them less than twice
p er day because thats is what they have become accustom to, instead
r ecently I began trying something new, so far it has worked ok.. but I've only done it a couple times, basically
i have been weening the fish off of fish food, and onto people food. I know some of you might be
l eary but seriously, I'm glad I did, heres how..

F irst I took some left over table scraps, and put them into my blender.
o nly thing you need to be sure of, is you do not grind it too fine,
o r else you will be left with a gooey watery consistancy, when it
l ooks like oatmeal you have done it good enough, then just
s pread tiny bits across the top of the tank and they eat it up like it's going out of style
            !

Re: Fish food is waaaaaay to expensive

Just plant the little fish food pellets in a shallow trench with full sun light and soak them with aged aquarium water once a week.  Then just sit back and wait for the fish food bushes to sprout.
'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

Poor EK, But Ramius you do have wayyyy too much time on your hands.  and Phish's joke was great too, im gonna have to try the zuccini thing, not for the fish but for me i love grilled zuccini and it makes a good pesto base too.
