  • Using Diatomaceous Filter in Tropheus Tank

Is there any issues in using diatomaceous powder in a trohpeus tank. Some always seeps into the tank when the filter media is getting coated by the powder. before it starts filtering. Any comments would be appreciated..

There shouldn't be. Diatomaceous Earth is completely neutral and a totally natural substance, even used in toothpaste, (the gritty stuff). If your filter is passing a lot, however it could be because of a defect in the filter itself. I use it all the time in pool filtration, and it does the best job.
