Scarecrow : I haven't got a brain... only straw.
Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.

this idea is intigueing, i havent seen the checkerboards cichlids in houston in a long time, but i have always loved them.
maybe checkerboards, threadfin rainbows, amano shrimp, and pygmy cories.......
hmmm. anybody know where to get some Dicrossus filamentosus ?

i like this idea to, however, a heavy planted tank is out, at best ill do micro vals, java moss, and a few crypts, but nothing else, and if i do this i will need eco complete substrate.
i had great results last time i used that substrate, and havent had those kinds of results using anything else, so now it looks like a moderatly medium light low tech planted tank is the works for this setup.
i may also be getting a 29g biocube, any ideas on some interesting little sa/ca cichlids to add to a 29g biocube?
it will be the same kind of setup, lmk ideas on this one.
with the 14g i will definatly be doing checkerboards when i can find them, aswell as 12 red tetras, 8 amano shrimp, 12 pygmy cories, and a few zebra otos.
for the 29g im thinking a farlowella catfish, 6 zebra otos, 15 amano shrimp, 8 thread finned rainbows, and 12 cardinal tetras.
i just need a pair of small interesting not often seen cichlids.
let me hear some ideas for the cichlids for the 29g biocube.
The 14g seems like it'll be overstocked to me. Just sayin...
