Old Tank CLeaning.... Pics Uploaded

    Put the tank on it's side. Place a vinegar soaked rag on the glass for an hour or two. Attempt to scrap a small area with a razor blade.

    Let the vinegar soak for a good long while and then rely on elbo grease for the rest.

      I am in need of a smaller tank (maybe about 5 or 10 gallon) that has hard water / calcium stains like this on it. Something close to Meyerland.

        Well i gave up...got a 55G....these stains didn get offeven after trying everything...

          I don't need one that big. I would be interested in attempting to clean it though. Seems that one of those ideas should have worked.

            should have got my 38g lol no but seriously ive always used CLR on my tanks but most of the time a very thick milky layer towards the top of the tank ahs never been removable for me. you cant see it when the tank is filled uo tho. good luck!

            EDIT** the pics just loaded after i finished my post, that tank looks jacked up bro, i hope you didnt pay anything for it.
