how much sand do i need?

i have two 125 a 6' and 5' but i want to use eco cichlid sand how much do you think i will need to give about a 2 in layer? thanks mickey carroll

Mickey,

General rule of thumb 1 pound per tank gallon. I haven't used the eco cichlid sand but have found this rule holds true with multiple substrates I have used in the past.

So your a Doodlebugger, Cool. I used to do that, but about 15 or 16 years ago. Done alot work in Louisana. Got tired of being gone all the time so I quit. Anyways welcome to the box. Im still new here to.
