How long are you leaving the light on? An algae bloommakes be think your tank may still be cycling. Have you tested your water parameters recently?

Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

I would add another filter. Another AC110 or can will do. 20 of those fish is a load. The diatom phase will pass but with another filter it will pass much quicker. Good Luck.

I've got alittle green mixed with a ton of brown. I have been cleaning about every 2 day's. Gonna do 50% water change tomorrow.

I run the light all day from about 7a.m. to 9 at night. That was my other concern. Am I getting enough light? Again, i'm not sure. I'll see how it goes after the water change tomorrow.

Any more ideas are greatly welcomed.

That's 14 hours of light.....yeah your gonna have some algae . Your filtration might be alright....but I would definitely cut down on the lighting if you want to stop the algae .

My timer didn't go off when I was out for the weekend and half of the tank was filled with brown algea so yeah too much light was the cause...about filtration I would add another AC110 extra filtration doesn't hurt.

Turn your light down and add a Eheim 2262 then you should be good on the filtration

I was thinking that I didn't have enough lighting. It never crossed my mind about having the light's on for too long that algea would start to grow. The ac110 churns some serious water in the tank. The eheim 2213 is hooked up only because it's a spair. I would like to add a small koralia to the other end of the tank just to add alittle circulation in the tank. There are a few dead spot's.
