Yeah I'm steadily trimming back. There are 4 "main" swords. 2 are standard amazons, and 2 are maroon swords. The maroons are coloring up more now, so hopefully in a few months you can actually tell the difference.

Are you using just gravel or is there soil under it? Looks good, nice selection of stock.

Just regular old gravel. I've had it for a really long time, so I forget exactly what it is. I do know it's sand blasting rocks, so they are smaller and rather worn down.

That is a beautiful tank. What kind of water changes do you do?

15-20% a week, or whatever 12-13 gallons are. 3 weeks a month are RO water, the 4th week is treated tap water.

Awesome! Very well-rounded tank. I love your stock-list! Plants look very happy, too. :)

I got my dry ferts in, so things should look much better.

Really nice tank, I like the stock. What is your water temp and parameters? What size are your discus? Again... Nice tank and great job, a discus planted tank is not easy.

Discus are small (about 3 inches tall). Once I start seeing pairing (long down the road), the odd ones out will be going for sale or back to the store. Water temp hits 82 in the middle of the day, but about 78 at night. Honestly I don't test anything. There are so many plants that most nutrients are low to limiting.

                            Nice tank.

                            Fish looks cool.

But I think the plants need some work.
I ate my fish that died.

                              first honest answer yet :)

I haven't started fertilizing them yet, and I do need to take a good bit of time trimming. I still think of everything as still "raw", rather than manicured.
