Hardwater Danio

I'm looking for a Danio that loves hard water. I've heard there are some micro-danios that live in Very hard water, but haven't heard any more than that. I'm looking for fish that won't get over 1" long.

Anyone have any ideas?

I got a few zebra danios for my daughter they are close to an inch and was told they wont get too much bigger...very active little buggers i guess thats why my daughter liked em....i read up on them and it said they can live in stagnant waters but i dont want to find out!
