i bought a 75 gallons aquarium at my LFS, and after filling it up with 2 inches of gravels, i started filling it with water up to 1 inches from the top. i kept tab of how many gallons i putted in the aquarium, and it came out to be 28.5 gallons.i highly doubt my gravels took up 45 gallons of water... i went back and complaint and they said that they never said it was 75 gallons, there was a piece of paper in there that said 75 gallons which i tossed out when i got home cause it was just a 8.5x11 that anyone can write on. beware guys, make sure you measure the aquarium first

I think that comes down to personal preference, and what kind of fish you are keeping. I wouldn't put aggressive fish in a hex because there would be less room for them to create their own territories, but that's just me.Originally posted by Lemon View PostSpeaking of measurements...some guy told me to never buy a hexagon tank, alway get a rectangular tank. He was gone before I could ask him why. Is this a cubic inch issue or a surface area thing? Our Fishhouse
