i found the culprit that's causing the micro bubbles. It's the eheim. What's the best way to get air out of a 2262? I shut it off the other day to do a water change, why, I don't know. But, that's when I started noticing the bubbles now that I think about it. They are just pooring from the return line.

This is what you need to do. Kick the hell out of it. That will get the air out of it

Yeah, I don't think i'll be kicking it. But, I did expect you to have a solution. Haha. Thank's Justin.

+2 He's not joking. Or, if you prefer, apply similar force that will induce a rocking motion to work the air bubbles out.

Ok good luck but why do ask if you don't want to listen when someone tells you how to fix something. Ask anyone that has a Eheim and they'll tell you the same

                +3....kick it.

It's built like a tank. Don't hurt your cute little toes.

Ah it seems like kicking it sounds like the consensus from the Eheim experts. Thank you gentlemen for proving my point.

Id find it difficult to kick a new 2262 myself. Now if the situation would have been approached a lil less aggressively or worded differently, such as beefyg did, then I think the outcome wouldn't have been so Jr high. Sorry best analogy I could come up with...

There is no other way to word it. I personally own four large Eheims that I've kicked on many occasions. And those ate the ones I purchased new. And I also have kicked the two used one I had with steel toe boots. I don't sugarcoat things like some people. Maybe if you had a small ehiem like a 2215 or 2217 you can give it a shake but you need to knock that air out. Eheim pumps do not respond to air positively.

Personally, I would get the biggest wet/dry that will fit under the stand. Save room for at least one eheim cansiter, either 2217 or 2260/62. If there is more room under your stand you need more filters. I would also do power heads, depending on the fish. If you are into African cichlids then get some vortechs for them and they will love you.
LoL..."if there is more room under your stand you need more filters". That's hilarious and sound advice...but should your tank have to look like the wash cycle of a washing machine.

Sorry Vin but What? If you want a clean properly filtered tank the way you do it is add filters. I'm going to drain my 180 next week and add a third Eheim. Cause I do have a small piece or real-estate in my stand. And I will be kicking that new Eheim too, to get rid of the air

                              close thread

I totally agree with the "Not Sugarcoating" part. That's the same way I feel about a Business Deal. You make the deal, stick to your word, or I take my business elsewhere.

That's solid advice. So, when you install cabinets in a customers house, paying customer at that, do you just kick the $h!t out of it when it doesn't fit or hang just right? Maybe that explain's the Crossover to Aquarium Cabinets.

I thought this site was meant to be helpful to other's, not to make fun. It seems like the Ole Pro's on here are just so busy, Sarcasm is the only way to get there point across. Hence, just kick the $h!t out of it.

But, thank you all for your advice. I'm moving on from this topic.

That is one of the funniest posts I've ever read. Thank you I love to start off my day with a joke. You asked a question I answered it. Other owners of large Eheims with bottom drilled tanks agreed with. It is a very good way to get the air out if you have another way go ahead and try it or if you can't kick something live it with till the air bubbles work there way out hopefully not costing you a impeller in the process. Another thing that will help you in the future would be when people give advise listen to them. But ultimately it's your desision. And on the cabinet coment. I couldn't understand what you were talking about Maybe you can you explain that to me better. And yes I did have to do some kicking when installing these

Sometimes things and people need a good swift kick
