Would certainly make servicing the heater a little easier On the bright side, that's an easy fix and you caught it before it had water in it!

Not just that, if the heater springs a leak it would not be pretty.

I was lucky my leak was on the filter who's line siphoned from over the back of the tank... if it was one of the bulkhead connections I would be a sad panda.

Well, it's finally up and running! Had to replace the o-ring in the impeller cover on the 2260 but that was the only leak I found, knock on wood. Filled it up with warm tap water and gonna let it run for a day and clean out some bit of coral from overflow slots before draining, scaping and refilling with part old tank water and part treated tap water to start the cycle.

Feeling good.

Thanks! Next step is going to drag on because I'll be heading out of town after Thanksgiving and don't want to put any livestock in and not be there. But once I get back, everything will be done in short order
