Well the FX5 had some in it already from Raul's tank. I didn't clean our before I hooked it up. Will that be good?

Did the filter media get dried out or did it stay wet with tank water....?

Lol, I made sure not to do that. I think I'll put in one of the hobs from the 55 gal today just to add some more bacteria.

                  1. You could place the fx5 on the 55 gallon to help seed the filter with bacteria if it is not to much flow for that tank.
                  2. When you do a water change on your 55 gallon you could add the old water water into the 125 gallon.
                  3. If you have multiple hob's on your 55 gallon you could temporally place one on the 125g.

When I setup new tanks I use the water from my established tanks. I setup a 40 gallon breeder two weeks ago and used 40 gallons of water from my 150 gallon tank. I have used this method for several years. I add my fish right away.

Will be picking up 8 Lufubus this Saturday. If anybody has a few more Lufubus to spare, please let me know as I plan on getting a decent sized colony going.

Edit: I spoke too soon, sticking with original plan :)

I'm afraid of those for now. It's a huge learning curve. So fresh water for me!
