TeTeR, I've decided to go for tangs in the 75 gal.

    Update:

Plumbing done. Bracing done. Decided to put a 10 gal fry tank in place of the 305 because I'll be getting some peacock fry from the 125 gal pretty soon. Also, I painted the stand dark walnut brown for the time being. I'll add photos of that when the paint has dried and I can move everything to the final site. So here it is just before I started painting the stand.

So those with inquiring eyes might notice that there's a ball valve on the sump intake. That's because I made a little upgrade to the overflow where the inlets were cut off and two down tubes were installed with prefilters and it flows ridiculous amounts of water now where the Quiet One 4000 pump could not keep up. So I had to add BV to slow the overflow a little bit. Another plus of the change is that it made the overflow very quiet, no need for sponge mufflers now and I can even here the pump over the trickling of the overflow now.

Here's a quick video of the overflow at work in my 125 gal:

The overflow for the 75 gal is pretty much the same. And yes, that's air being pushed downward into the sump fighting the flow towards the end of the video around the 0:36 mark.

PS: there are two anti siphon holes in the down tubes to guard against sump overflow during a power outage.

Everything is now up and running. I will let it run for a few hours like this and add timers as needed.

        FTS:

I like the effect the floating manzi gives.

        The whole setup:

Now to wait for a couple of days before introducing livestock.

Yes. I like how it looks that way. If they start to sink so be it, but I like it floating and giving overhead cover.

The fish in there right now are 3 multifasciatus and a gold calvus to be followed by black bee cyps, moba cyps, hecquis, caudopuncs and 5 kekese cyp fry that are in my fry/grow out tank atm.

First batch of blue regal peacock fry was stripped from one female today:

5 more holding females to go. Yikes.

I lost about 20 of them overnight along with the 5 kekese cyps I was growing out in the tank Water parameters this morning were: ammonia 1, nitrite 0, nitrate 0 and pH 7.8. I have no idea why this happened.

Is the grow out tank cycled...?

                            Filtration?

I thought it was cycled already, but I suspect a flash spike might have been to blame. I'm still losing fry which leads me to think that I stripped the fry too soon. So the initial fry dying off overnight might have started the chain reaction. I'm running a hob filter with a filter sponge over the intake. I have done a partial water change as well as replacing the filter cartridge.

I've kinda already taken steps to combat this problem. I'm setting up a 20G (long) nursery tank in the hope of transferring all holding females into it to spit fry at the time the females are ready. Once I have a good batch of fry going, the rest will remain in the main tank spitting out Darwin style till the nursery tank is free again.

Did you do the water change and replace the filter media at the same time? Maybe add another HOB so you only replace media on one of a time... where the fry in the tank during the water change...
