It would be awesome as planted with some old black wood. Ask Tom Barr about co2 and overflows. They work, just don't have Niagara falls back there. I love reef, but just got done with it, it's a huge time commitment and the water change process sucks. Looks like a 90p. Beautiful tank by the way and congratulations on whatever you decide to do.

You can flood the overflow and hook the input and output on an eheim canister. This way the RR skimming aspect isn't really being used.

But you got to go all out planted tank Luis Navarro style!

Have extra co2 w/ regulator not in use that you are welcome to borrow on long as needed basis
Got extras that go with that to use also. All excell condition & worked great on my planted 300. The altons are too rough to do any but easy grow not that they are big.

Thanks V, but I actually already have a CO2 tank/regulator/diffuser sitting in the closet. May take you up on the liquid ferts though . . . I gave most of mine away.
