Wanting to set up a 35 gallon hexagon tank for my son. He likes the ciclids cause of the bright colors. I know a lot of them get to big for the tank. Any suggestions on what to maybe put in the tank?

Do you already own the Hex Tank? I would suggest a different style, personally I get a bit annoyed by the small viewing area. How old is the boy? My kids like bright colored fish too 7 and 9 y/o. They also like the shrimp and you can get a lot of brightly colored shrimp in that tank. And they are pretty neat to watch running around.45G Cichlid and Turtle -

get some red cherry shrimp and some oto cats they are never boringComment

I have cichlids and shrimp and I am always watching the shrimp. If I had the room I dont know that I wouldnt have a large shrimp tank.45G Cichlid and TurtleComment
