  • Red Tail Sheller

I'm excited about three little guys I got at the Auction.  I was doing some research on the net and found that they only spit up to 12 fry at any given time.

Here is a link to what they should look like as they mature.

The appeal of African cichlids is undoubtedly their incredible diversity. They can be found all over the great continent, but the majority come from one of three lakes. The exact number of species in each of the great African lakes is uncertain, but there are around 250 identified cichlid species in Lake Tanganyika, at least...

    Looks nice. Victorians now, eh?
    Scarecrow : I haven't got a brain... only straw.
Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

There where so many fish towards the end there that I wanted to bid on, but did not, those red tails where one of them. I was holding out for that W/D that I did manage to take with 36 dollars....after that I had 3 dollars left.

Raul, that was so funny how you decided to buy them! Are these the Platy...something species that you asked Charles about?

LOL...yes Mzungo, those are the ones...

It was a very long weekend for me with little sleep and the name threw me off at first...

Platytaeniodus sp. "Red Tail Sheller" is what was on the label.

I've got some other Victorians that someone on DFB is holding for me.  I just got to figure out how to get them here since he isn't comfortable with shipping them.
